Campaign Campaign Summary:

The Protection of Freedoms Bill has been introduced to Parliament by the Government, and partially redresses a number of concerns in civil liberty issues.
Rabel has supported this Bill and desired to see successful passage, yet there are areas in which this Bill fails to address important issues.

Protection of Freedoms Bill

There were three areas where we were campaigning:

1. Freedom of Speech.
(See separate campaign page.)

2. Aggravated Trespass.
Caroline Lucas MP, the Green Party leader, has tabled an amendment to the Bill that would remove the criminal offence of aggravated trespass. Civil trespass would still be applicable.
We shall continue to campaign for this issue to be addressed.

3. The Whole Bill.
We support this Bill and would like to see it become law.

Action Point 1:

Please continue to pray that this Protection of Freedoms Bill is only the start of a return to civil freedom in the United Kingdom and that further measures are soon introduced to redress those areas that this Bill has failed to address.
