“We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to introduce legislation setting a firm,
legal right to free speech. This legislation should ensure that no person is arrested for
expressing an opinion, belief or assertion, however unpalatable the words may be.
The legislation should supersede all other related Acts, and should only include
exceptions in cases of incitement to violent or treasonable actions, or in the case of
libellous or slanderous defamation.”
